Success – Inchbrae road repairs

The roads Service agreed to carry out repairs to Inchbrae Drive, Inchbrae Terrace and Inchbrae Road after I highlighted problems on behalf of residents.

After being contacted by concerned residents, I have urged the Roads Service to take action over the crumbling surfaces of Granville Lane and Aboyne Place.

Frustratingly, I regularly have to ask Council staff to removed dumped items from streets in our area, most recently from Nellfield Place and Garthdee Drive.

Following the recent storms, residents have contacted me about fallen trees in our area. Fallen street trees and trees on Council-owned land are the Council’s responsibility but fallen trees on privately-owned land, including gardens, are the responsibility of the landowner.

Success – action on potholes

After I highlighted the problems, the Roads Service has filled and repaired potholes and broken areas in the surfaces of several roads in our area.

Latest Garthdee police report

The December meeting of Garthdee Community Council received a report from the local policing team on crime in the area between 14th November and 14th December.

Lack of materials delays Bridge of Dee resurfacing

Residents have told me they are becoming more and more frustrated by the ever lengthening delay in Barratts carrying out the work needed to allow the City Council to take over the roads at the Garthdee Farm Gardens development.
